The Okamoto Weaving Factory was established in the first year of Taisho (1912). It primarily produces and sells traditional Tokushima handmade products, such as Awa Masa fabrics dyed blue (a traditional fabric that can be referred to as 'Scar fabric') and denim woven from old power looms. This 'Awa Masa blue denim jacket' is made from denim fabric dyed using the traditional Japanese craftsmanship 'Awa Masa blue dyeing method,' which Japan takes pride in. From the dye line to the dyeing process, it is done by artisans, making it a rare jacket with limited production. The thread used for hand dyeing is thicker than that of machine-dyed thread, and the final denim fabric features a unique speckled texture, which is completely different from regular 15-ounce denim. This 'Japanese denim' is dyed by Abo Zhengblue. You can fully enjoy the final fading effect and the unique texture of this denim.
